Michael's case is different, everything he had in his system his doctor gave him to sleep. Murray gave michael tons of sedatives and then propofol to sleep! he didn't have the proper equipment and he injected michael himself. Also what is a cardiologist doing giving anethesia.

Great article. I take less issue with the use of money being a form of speech as with the idea of treating a corporation as a person or an association of persons (which usually refers to voluntary organizations/associations, not employees) for purposes of free speech. A corporation speaks through its management not through each individual. You raise an interesting point about shareholder approval. Whose speech is it really that this decision protects? And does this decision trample on the speech of the minority shareholders in a corporation who are tied to their employer's advocacy regardless of whether they agree?

Yes, I think CBS is just trying to subtly push its values and opinions to the world. They didn't have a strong enough reason why they didn't air the ManCrunch ad. I mean, if they're willing to pay, what's the problem, right? Meh.

Having now seen the Tebow ad, and knowing the CBS's stance on airing controversial ads, what do you think? Is it a thinly veiled attempt to promote pro-life choices and restrict choice in America?

And, in your opinion, was the Mancrunch ad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEkcs4O5pRU) denied for being controversial since it contained sexual content or for promoting homosexual relationships?

Hi, Emily. Great question. Chapter 11 differs because it is open to corporate entities. It is sometimes called a rehabilitative bankruptcy, because just like physical therapy can make someone with an injury stronger, Ch. 11 allows a company to restructure its debt and reemerge as a viable entity. The company is allowed to carry out its operations during this time and is granted leeway with its creditors to renegotiate its loan repayment agreements on more favorable terms.

The debt is not absolved in a Ch. 11, so if a company following its Ch. 11 restructuring still cannot operate effectively and service their debt obligations, it may have to convert its bankruptcy to Ch. 7. At that point, its assets would be liquidated, operations would be suspended and debtors repaid - most likely for cents on the dollar.
