Apple’s Snow Leopard is ironically the source of one computer company’s legal troubles as of late.  Psystar Corporation was accused of trademark infringement and taken to court.  The charge?  The company was selling Intel computers preloaded with Snow Leopard – and at a much lower price. So, what’s the big deal?

17 year-old Zikkeria Bellamy applied online to a Florida McDonald’s and was granted an interview. Initially, she chose not to disclose her gender – the box was optional.  When the hiring manager asked her to fill it out, she checked male.  At that point, he told her to leave. Workplace discrimination by sex has been illegal for some time, but gender is another issue.

Lincoln U. Checks Chub, Gets Flub from Students

Lincoln University, a historically black college in Pennsylvania, has been ramping up the enforcement of one of its more novel graduation requirements.  This year, the University has been telling kids with a BMI of 30+, which qualifies as obese, that they have to take a “Fitness for Life” class.  If they don’t, they won’t graduate.
