Derek Wietsma

Derek grew up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the union, where he enjoyed the close proximity to the ocean waters and the charm of his seemingly ancient colonial home. He made the jump to modernity when he traveled west to Chicago to attend DePaul University. There, he is currently seeking a BA in both environmental public policy and French. He has lived and studied in Paris, France for the past four academic months and will be returning to the Windy City this fall to complete his senior year. He has always felt a strong attraction to writing and truly enjoys the challenge it presents.
